I Was Found!

I WAS FOUND!

We left our heavenly home to come to earth and be tested. We were told we would forget everything but help will be sent. We will be taught what is right and wrong and the test is whether we will choose what is right and do what is right. The reward is we will live in heaven with our Father in heaven and with our families.

But I’ve forgotten about this. We’ve all forgotten about this. But God promised He will give us all a chance to remember. He promised to send people into our lives to remind us of who were were and where we came from.

First He sent us a good friend who was our shining example. He was different, he was good and kind. He had something that we wanted. Then he served a mission. Soon we met missionaries like him. We were taught what our friend was teaching the people where he was serving – about Jesus Christ and about His restored Church. The missionaries, “our” missionaries, they taught us patiently, they bore their testimonies lovingly, and every time they visited us, they brought happiness with them, something that for me, at that time, was unexplainable. Just like our friend, they had something that made them different, a good kind of different.

It has been 30 years and I can truly say having the gospel in one’s life is very similar to having overflowing delicious food on ones table and the greatest desire is to share it to those we love dearly so that they, too, can enjoy it. This remains to be the longing of my heart …

Thank you to the young missionaries who loved us – Sis. Ruth Ann Rasband, Sis. Laura Sam Abaigar, Elder Kevin Sullivan, Elder Strong, Elder Nicki Brian Muir, Sis. Denise McAffee Glover, Elder Renato Suaybaguio, Sis. Gina Turla Resuello, Sis. Gemma Dela Cruz Escaño, and Sis. Teresa MamergaDoctor. To all the other missionaries who were not assigned to us and our ward yet fellowshipped us and made us feel important and loved, DAGHANG SALAMAT! Special thanks to Brother Adrian Macarilay! You were an awesome/exemplary fellowshipper! Naka saka gyod mo og Mt. Kitanglad to develop the friendship.

To all those I mentioned and to those I have forgotten to mention (blame it to poor memory recall), THANK YOU! Our lives have never been the same because of what we now have because of your service! May our Father in Heaven continue to bless you and your families because of your valiant service as full time missionaries and as friends 30 years ago.

And that good friend? He baptized us right after he came home from his mission! He was also with us when we were sealed as a family forever. 🥰
