No matter what age you are, acne is something that can make you feel insecure and unattractive. While there are a lot of expensive face creams out there that can get rid of acne, those aren’t your only options. There are also home remedies that are just as effective as store bought products. The best part about these is that they are extremely affordable and easy to use.
1. Face Mask
All you have to do is purchase a natural and flavor-free yogurt from your local grocery store. After you have this, mix it together with a small amount of oatmeal. Gently rub this onto clean skin and let it sit there for 20-30 minutes. Once the time is up, rinse your face off with warm water and then splash it with cold water. The oatmeal in this will gently exfoliate your skin while the yogurt will help reduce acne due to the antibacterial properties it naturally has.
2. Tea Tree Oil Treatment
Tea tree oil is something you can use for a lot of different remedies, but it’s great for acne because it’s naturally antibiotic. All you have to do is dab a small amount of this oil onto a cotton ball and then place it onto your blemish. Allow this to sit on your skin for an entire evening and your blemish should be less noticeable in the morning. If you want to use this all over your face, then mix several drops of it in with water in a spray bottle. Spray it on your skin before bed and you will be set.
3. Witch Hazel
If you don’t already have a bottle of witch hazel sitting around your house, then go and buy some! This can come in handy for a wide variety of treatments and is very affordable. This is a product that is made from a witch hazel shrub. It will help soothe a variety of different skin conditions, including acne. The tanning acid inside of it is great for sensitivity and it can reduce the appearance of acne when used on a regular basis. Buy this in a spray bottle and spray it on your skin in the morning and at night. Use it with your favorite moisturizer, but make sure there are no added oils in the lotion.
4. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is naturally antibacterial and is packed full of acids that can kill off bacteria inside of the skin. All you have to do to use this is juice a fresh lemon and then brush the juice all over your skin. Leave this on overnight or rinse it off after 20 minutes if you want to wear lotion at night. This will dry out your skin, so make sure to use a good moisturizer when you use it. It’s also best to use fresh lemon juice instead of anything that comes from a bottle.
