I have been meaning to write this article for some time now, and I’m glad that I am finally doing this. Please know though that this is not a paid advertisement. Maybe you all can call this an endorsement by a satisfied customer.
Not far from Cagayan de Oro City proper is a place called Balbin Resort, but I did not know that was the name of the place. When my client told me that the venue for our activity will be at the Party Venue in Opol, I did not have any idea what to expect. In my mind though I imagined Opol’s beach, cottages made of Nipa, and sand everywhere. I was even a little concerned about some things that has everything to do with the success of what I was about to do … like good sound system (I will need a good microphone if the venue is open air), enough tables for the participants to write on, and enough space for our use, especially since I was facilitating a Team Building activity for a group of dynamic young people.
So off we went to Barra, Opol and tried to locate the Party Venue. My client told me that the place is beside a big school inside Johndorf subdivision. After several minutes of driving around, however, we could not find the place. We decided to ask a few people walking down the street. Nobody seemed to know of the place, and we were really tense because I was already late for my 9 am call … until someone asked: “The one with the swimming pool Ma’am?” I said yes, although I was really unsure myself. We were then instructed to look for a group of tall mango trees and then to take a right turn. We remembered – we did pass by that corner a few meters back! And so we did as told and we finally found ourselves in this very private but nice place called Private and Exclusive Party Venue.
I looked around and saw that place is ideal for family and group parties. I went to inquire about the accommodation and I was told the following details below.
The rates are:

- Free Hot and Cold Mineral Water for Drinking
- Safe and Private Parking Space
- 1 Aircon Bedroom (for Overnight Users Only)
